Summer is here. How we all enjoy the warmer weather, vacations, and relaxation. I love to create. Here is my design to give you inspiration to create something fun. I love to use my Copics. Here I colored C.C. Designs Honey "Sailor". She plays right into the Americana summer theme. The pinwheels are cut squares from scrap paper, cut at the corners, and folded towards center. I colored toothpicks with my Copics and added rhinestones to the center of the pinwheels. Three Bugs in a Rub have wonderful rub-ons to add to any creation. "Inspiration" is today's challenge. I used C.C. Designs Kiki La Rue "Spring" stamp. She is colored with Copics and cut/embossed with Spellbinder's Label Eleven. I then layered her with mount foam onto lime green white core card stock that was embossed with Cuttlebug's "Dots" embossing folder. I sanded the dots and adhered it to DCWV printed paper. I added a 1" wide white ribbon across the bottom. Adhered layered Prima flowers with matching Moon Drops for center. Stop by All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge to play along.

All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge is Anything Goes. So Today I created a card to fit into a business envelope. I used C.C. Designs Honey "Lesa" stamp. Colored her with Copics. I cut black white core card stock with Lifestyle Crafts "Mini Accordian Album". I embossed it with Cuttlebug "Swirls" embossing folder. All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge today is to use felt. I wanted to make a card for a dear friend Ali who is graduating from college with her nursing degree. I used black felt behind C.C. Designs "Nurse Nora". She was colored with Copics and hand cut out. I used Spellbinder's Classic Border Petite to cut red felt for the side strip. I stamped Studio G "Hearts" in black ink, embossed and cut them. Adhered the card together. Layered "just because" from Me an My Big Ideas, and added ribbon. Thank you for stopping by.

What can you do with a mini pizza box. Today for the All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge I created this Cookie Party Favor. To create, I cut out the Pizza Box using Georgia Pacific white card stock. Layered patterned paper to top. Colored in C.C. Designs Sugrplum "Cookie Emma, and "Stool" with my Copics. Cut them out and layered them to top using mount foam. Added a Red Sheer Ribbon to hold closed. Stamped/Embossed words. Cut and layered to top of bow.

I cut them out and layered them unto the original stamped image. Colored in the skin and hair with my Copic markers. "Anything Goes" for All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge. Hope you stop by and play along. Today I created this Lifestyle Crafts cupcake wrapper to go around a washcloth. I made it to co-ordinate with the other party favors, but this one you place in the bathroom so each guest has there own towel to dry their hand. Make as many as you need and stack them on a cupcake display. I used C.C Designs Cupcake Boy. Colored with my Copics to match the color theme.

"Home Decor" is the theme for today's challenge for All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge. I created this luminary using Spellbinder's Scalloped Edge Frame Set. I cut/embossed with aluminum can, cut four. Sprayed them with black paint. Punched out the embossed dots to make holes to run ribbon through. I airbrushed the Spellbinder's Cherry Impressability using vellum. Adhere to inside of each panel. Wrapped a bow and added a cherry and some curled wire. Placed C.C. I created this Heart Pillow to show how you can use just a few items and create something useful.

Supplies:

Spellbinders ~ Classic Scalloped Heart S4-137, #6
QuicKutz ~ Pennant
Three Bugs In A Rug ~ Sugar & Spice Rub On #rub-223
The Paper Company ~ Cream Cardstock
Red Felt
Cream Ribbon
Cream Thread/Needle
6 Cotton Balls
Bamboo Skewer

Directions:

Cut two scalloped hearts from red felt. Hand stitch around edge. Stuff with cotton balls. Insert 10" folded ribbon. Stitch close.

Cut Pennant from red felt. Cut cardstock. Rub on "I Love You...", glue to red Pennant using Beacons 3-In-1 Advanced Craft Glue. Glue to Bamboo Skewer. Insert skewer into pillow.

Tie bow. Glue to front of red Heart Pillow.

I love to create gifts. Today I created this crock filled with my homemade hot chocolate. I filled a bag with hot chocolate, stuffed it into this old (cleaned) crock I found and added the tag. I created the tag using C.C. Designs "Brr Emma". I colored her with my Copics, cut her out, and layered her onto Spellbinders Labels 4 die. Inked the edges and tied her on to the crock with twine. What a perfect way to share something you made. I hope you get creating some great gifts of your own. Need some inspiration. All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge is Tags. So I created these simple mitten gift tags. I used Spellbinders Mittens, scrap fabric, and C.C. Designs "Holly and Berry" stamp. I simply colored in, cut out image and added to the mitten to make a tag. Hope you like this quick easy project.

Cake Gift Tin Turtorial

Today I am going to show you how I created this beautiful Cake Gift Tin from items you may already have.

To start I used a 4 oz. can green chili can, frozen orange juice lid, Cuttlebug dots embossing folder, Spellbinders Eyelet Circle die # 5, Standard Circles LG die # 4 & 5, Prima Pink Roses, white & pink cardstock.

First remove the lid from the frozen orange juice and label from the green chili can. Wash.

To make pattern for can, wrap white cardstock around can. Hold. Trace top and bottom edge with pencil. Mark for length. Cut bottom edge. On top edge, cut 1/8” above traced line. (This allows for lid to fit on top). Copy onto cardboard for permanent pattern.

Emboss cutout. Flip around and line up last row of dots. Emboss again.

Cut two Standard Circles die #5. One from die #4. All from white cardstock.

Cut two Eyelet Circle die # 3 from pink cardstock.

Emboss smallest circle with Cuttlebug dots.

Adhere one large white circle to the bottom of pick Eyelet circle. Repeat.

Add small dot white circle to one layered circle. Adhere to flat side of frozen orange juice lid.

Here is the lid upside down.

Adhere layered circles to base of can using mount foam.

Adhere dot cutout to can using strong adhesive.

Notice the lip of paper above rim of can. This is the 1/8” extra you added to the pattern. This allows for the lid to fit snuggly into place.

Cut Rose stems from roses. Wrap stems around small paintbrush.

Adhere roses & curled stems to center of lid.

You can add foam to the base of can to insert jewelry or small items for gift.

I used C.C. Designs Honey Sailor stamp. Colored it with Copics. Cut out with Spellbinder's Poinsettia Frame. Cut Petite ovals LG and Labels Eleven from red and blue cardstock. Sanded and layered. Hello again! Today I made this dry embossed card for All That Scraps Wednesday Blog Challenge. I really love this card. I used C.C Designs Honey Bikini stamp and colored with my Copics. I die cut Spellbinder's Classic Inverted Scalloped Circle LG to create the sun, Surf's Up die templates for the surfboard & beach ball, and the Sea Scape Impressability for the background. All are sanded and layered with mount foam. It is a wonderful card and very simple to make. i hope you enjoyed today's creation. Thank you for stopping by.

Spellbinders International Guest Blogger Contest

We are excited to announce the Spellbinders International Guest Blogger Contest. Spellbinders is looking for one fabulous International Guest Blogger to appear on the Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog during the month of June! This contest is for Spellbinders Paper Arts enthusiasts currently living outside of the United States. We will select one International Guest Blogger to create four projects with instructions, for publication on the Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog.

The International Guest Blogger Contest Winner will select $100 in Spellbinders Die Templates to use in the four blog posts. These die templates will be chosen from the Spellbinders website, and excludes Limited Edition die templates, Presto Punch machine, Presto Punch templates. A link to the Contest Winners' blog will be posted on the Spellbinders Blog for one year. The Winner will receive a personalized Spellbinders Badge to post on his/her Blog. Following completion of the four posts, the International Guest Blogger will receive an additional $100 in Spellbinders Paper Arts product, from the July 2010 New Release Collection. The Winner will be among the first to receive that new product! Spellbinders will pay all shipping charges.

Spellbinders International Guest Blogger Contest Winner will complete four paper craft projects using current Spellbinders Die Templates, with instructions. Winner must post a partial image of each project with a link to the Spellbinders Blog on publication days. Dates of publication to be determined.

Apple Card & Hanging Candle

This card was created using the new Spellbinder's Apple Die Template. I made it to go with the matching Hanging Candle.
The Hanging Candle was created using the Nestie Instant Coffee jar. The insert that holds the candle is a Ortega Green Chili can. I covered the can with My Mind Eye Paper. I created this Hanging Candle to match my card, but you you use this same idea for birthdays, weddings, holidays, anything you might need. Hope you enjoyed my creation.

Cherry Card

This card was made from the New Spellbinder's Cherry Impressability and Apple Die Template. I inked the Impressability once in red and then in green and embossed each one. Then hand cut each cherry out and layered it onto the green one. Finished layering the card and it turned out beautiful. It did not take that long. I hope you like it.

Today is the last day of my tour on the 2009-2010 Spellbinder's Design Team. I wanted to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to Spellbinder's Paper Arts, especially Stacey & Jeff for all they have given me. I came into this world of online crafting when I was chosen to be on your Design Team. I have been crafting all my life, but up to a year ago I had not followed anyone or even searched out what was online. I tried out and made the team. What an incredible experience this has been. I have learned so much from all of you and our wonderful Design team this year. All the ladies on our team have come to be family. This new year will bring lots of new and exciting things for each and every one of us, but I know to me this year will always hold special meaning. Just Rite Mega March Blog Hop Day 2

Today starts day 2 of Just Rite's Mega March Blog Hop. Here is what I created for you.

I was inspired to create a Flower Box with matching card using Just Rite's "My Garden Borders & Center Round 3 1/4" stamp set. I stamped each flower twice. Colored in with my Copics, hand cut, layered together and hot glued them to wire wrapped with floral tape. I covered a box I made with cardstock and Spellbinder's Renaissance Heart Border Petite to the top edge. I added pearls and ribbon to the outside of the box. I inserted a floral block inside of the box. I then inserted the flowers into the floral block. Added shred around flowers. It is a wonderful gift for any special person in your life. I hope you enjoyed my creation. Maybe you will make one too.

Here is the run down of this incredible Blog Hop:

This mini cake was created using Ortega Green Chili can & the top to the frozen orange juice can. I know, I save everything. I used Just Rite "My Borders & Centers Round 3 1/4". I colored the Pansies with my Copics. Easy project to create for a small gift for a friend. I hope you like it.

I’m thrilled to share my Spellbinders™ Surprise Party!! project with you...

To make these Apple Coasters you will need these supplies:

Spellbinder’s S4-267 Nested Apples, S3-093 Flower and Petals, Red/tan checkered fabric, Green fabric, Batting, Tsukineko Fabrico Sand Craft Ink, Twine, Beacon Fabri-Tac glue, Fabric Barn grosgrain ribbon.

Cut two pieces of fabric, right sides together from the S4-267 Nested Apple Die Template #3 (with #1 being the smallest). Then cut two pieces of batting using the same die template. Place batting between fabric and stitch.

Next, cut leaves from S3-093 Flower and Petals. Stencil with Fabrico ink onto leaves. Heat set. Glue onto Apples with Fabri-Tac. Put a dot of glue onto stem and tie twine knot.

Valentine's Day Treat Idea

Here is a little something I made for Valentine's Day. I thought you might like to whip some of these up for treats for your little one to hand out, or maybe even for your friends. Hope you have a wonderful day~

Quick Stocking Ornament

Here I have created a quick and cute holiday ornament. I used the Spellbinder's Die Holiday Cheer, and Poinsettia Frame. You can find them Here. You simply use felt, ribbon, paper, thread, and Fabric-Tac glue. Cut the Stocking twice with red felt, and twice with the white felt for cuff. The sandwich for the Wizard is white mat, die, felt, embossing plate, tan mat, blue mat. Hand stitch around stocking using blanket stitch. Sew ribbon on. Glue White cuff on. Cut Holly Berry Leaves from Poinsettia Frame, glue on. For berries, punch 1/8" felt with hole punch. Stuff with two cotton balls. Make tiny present, insert into stocking.

Here are some quick and easy place settings to make for your holidays. I cut the Spellbinder's Pendant Die Templates with aluminum can. Paint printed side of can with gold spray paint. Fold at corners. Add pearls. Add your favorite candle with tag & ribbon. Quick & Beautiful.

Hello. Sorry, I haven't posted in awhile. Been not feeling well. Here is a calendar I made from a square cookie tin lid. It is all magnetic. So it can be used forever. I thought you might enjoy. Cookie Swap Tutorial

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments for the Just Rite Blog Hop. Many of you mentioned you would like to come to my Cookie Swap and receive the ornament. Since most of you, probably all, do not live near me so I thought I would post a tutorial on how to make it. It is very easy. So lets get started.

This is the product I used:

Spellbinders:

Classic Squares LG S4-126, die#3 & 7. Classic Squares SM S4-128, die#3. Snowflake S5-017, accents. Create A Flake 2, small accent. Labels 9 S4-233, Labels Trio S3-147, Tags Trio S3-148

Just-Rite:

Times New Roman Font, Uppercase 25pt.(JB-08060), Lowercase 15pt(JB-08650), Favorite Occasions Set (JB-08690), Something Sweet Set (JB-08775)

Copic :

Chamoi E35, Atyou Spica Lipstick (GLLIP), Blossom (GLBLO), Mint(GLMNT)

Ink:

Tsukineko Memento tuxedo black, Stazon Timber Brown, Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Vintage photo, Colorbox pigment black ink

Sparkle N Sprinkle:

Black Detail embossing powder

Misc.:

White gel pen, craft cardstock, red cardstock, white satin ribbon, 3" ric-rac ribbon, 5" & 7" strips of 1/4" sheer ribbon, 3D white paint, thick mounting foam, stylus, clear plastic (from packaging)

1. Cut two craft cardstock from Classic Squares LG, die#7. Score each side of 1st one @ 3/8" in & 7/8" in. Fold. Cut each corner out (like picture). Now center Classic Squares SM, die#3. Cut out. Cut clear plastic with Classic Squares LG, die #3. Adhere. Tape box together.

2. Score 2nd one (bottom) @ 7/16" & 15/16". Fold. Cut each corner. Tape box together.

3. Cut/Emboss two Create A Flake 2, accent. Cut/Emboss Snowflakes, accents. One each. Ink edges with vintage photo ink.

4. Stamp Gingerbread man in tuxedo black ink on craft cardstock. Color in.

5. Stamp "Homebaked" (font 25pt.) & "with (15pt.) Love" (25pt.) with Stazon Timber brown. Cut & layer on red cardstock.

6. Place "cookies" into bottom box with mounting foam. Add 3D white paint for icing. Let dry.

7. Adhere sheer red ribbon, then ric-rac ribbon. Adhere Gingerbread Man, and sayings with mount foam to top of box. Adhere top box to bottom box on sides, to keep together.

Now wasn't that pretty easy. Regarding the rest of the set. It is pretty self-explanatory. But the cookie sleeve is made from the liner that your bacon comes on. I know what you are thinking, but it worked perfectly. Just cut and sew along the sides. On both the invitation and the cookie sleeve I used a brad, paper circle, and embroidery thread for the closure. Hope you enjoyed. Have a wonderful day!!

Here is my first project for todays Blog Hop. I created a Bookmark Gift Card. I used Spellbinders Create A Flake 2 & Labels 9 with an aluminum can to make the Snowflake & tags which are attached to the ribbon. The Just Rite fonts are perfect for this. I used the Wood Stamper 2" with Bonus 15pt Font & Center for the words Faith, Hope & Love. For the saying, I used Times New Roman, upper & lower case. You can find them here.

My Cookie Swap Set was created to inspire you to have one. Invite some friends and enjoy a night sharing some goodies and fellowship.

The Cookie Gift Box Ornament is for each guest that comes. I always like to make everyone something to take home. A cute way for all your guests to remember the night.

Make Your Own Buttons with Spellbinders

Here is a card I made using my new buttons. I was wanting some buttons, so I started playing with my Spellbinders Wizard and Die Templates. In a few easy steps you can make your own buttons in many shapes and sizes.

First cut your fabric (or ribbon/paper) with Classic Heart S4-136, die#2, make 3. Then cut cereal box cardboard with Classic Heart S4-136, die#1, make 3. Then cut cardstock (or soda can, plastic, ect.) from Classic Scalloped Heart S4-137, die#1, make 3. This is for the backing of the button.

Run fabric and cardboard cutouts through Xyron. Add mounting foam to cardboard. Trim in shape of die. Peel off paper.
Place cardboard heart in center of fabric heart. Sticky sides together. Peel mounting foam backing off. Stretch fabric around heart. Press into sticky back. If you have extra fabric sticking up, trim off so backing will lay smooth.
Flip over hearts and adhere to Scalloped Heart Cutouts. Your buttons are complete.
You can see how the finished button looks. I made many shapes of buttons. Square, Circle, Octagon, ect. Try all the shapes. A few tips. If using cardstock, you need to cut tiny triangles at any folding spot, so the paper folds over smoothly. Fabric and ribbon give without this step.

Supplies:

Just Rite Favorite Occasions Borders & Centers Set (JB-08690)
Spellbinders Die Templates - Petite Scalloped Circles SM, die # 3, Standard Circles LG, die # 3
The Paper Company - Deep Red Paper
Georgia Pacific - White Cardstock
Tsukineko - Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Copic Markers - 0, E35, G17, R37
8" strips of 3/4" Red Sheer Ribbon, and 1/4" strip Deep Green Ribbon

Instructions:
Cut red paper @ 4 1/4" x 11". Fold. Cut white paper @ 4" x 5 1/4".
Stamp "Wishing You a Merry Christmas with Gingerbread Man inside" onto white paper.
Stamp one extra on scrap paper. Cut/Emboss with Standard Circle LG, die # 3. Color all with Copic markers. Blend.
Cut/Emboss Petite Scalloped Circle SM, die # 3 with red paper. Adhere to Gingerbread Man cutout.
Adhere sheer red ribbon across center of card. Adhere green on top of red. Tie bow from red & green. Adhere.
Place circle cutout to center of ribbon and adhere with mounting foam.
Blend colors.
