Spellbinders™ Paper Arts is hosting Spellbinders™ Surprise Party!! We will introduce 25 new Die Templates and 2 Impressabilities™ templates! These sneak peeks are part of the collection that will be released at the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show on January 24, 2010. We want to invite YOU, our greatest fans, to join the party from January 7-14, 2010! See the newest Spellbinders™ products, visit our Designers’ Blogs, and win fabulous Spellbinders™ prizes!

I’m thrilled to share my Spellbinders™ Surprise Party!! project with you...





To make these Apple Coasters you will need these supplies:

Spellbinder’s S4-267 Nested Apples, S3-093 Flower and Petals, Red/tan checkered fabric, Green fabric, Batting, Tsukineko Fabrico Sand Craft Ink, Twine, Beacon Fabri-Tac glue, Fabric Barn grosgrain ribbon.


Cut two pieces of fabric, right sides together from the S4-267 Nested Apple Die Template #3 (with #1 being the smallest). Then cut two pieces of batting using the same die template. Place batting between fabric and stitch.


Next, cut leaves from S3-093 Flower and Petals. Stencil with Fabrico ink onto leaves. Heat set. Glue onto Apples with Fabri-Tac. Put a dot of glue onto stem and tie twine knot.

This is my card using the S4-267 Nested Apple, S3-093 Flower and Petals, S4-115 Petite Scalloped Circles LG and S4-117 Petite Scalloped Circles SM, S4-212 Contemporary Hearts Borderabilities® Petites, S3-148 Tags Trio. I used the same products to create this card to match the Apple Coaster Set. You can make it quickly to compliment your gift set.

  9. Terrific gift ideas. A long time ago I made apple coasters and inserted cinnamon little pellets. A hot cup on the coaster would release a nice aroma. Thanks for sharing.
